Supplemental coverage

The gaps are where the bills live.

Even good primary coverage leaves holes: dental work, hearing aids, hospital deductibles. Supplemental plans are small, specific, and only worth buying when they match a real risk in your life.

    Our honest rule

    Supplemental only makes sense sometimes.

These plans are easy to over-sell. Before we recommend one, we look for three things:

    • A real, likely expense your primary plan doesn't cover.
    • A premium that stays comfortable in your monthly budget.
    • A benefit large enough to actually matter when you use it.

If a plan doesn't clear all three, we'll tell you to skip it.
